Foreword Easter Issue

I have been pondering the report that the apostles, in the book of Acts, were regularly summoned before the imperial authorities of Rome and the locals who colluded with the empire. All they were doing was Easter preaching. They were declaring that the power of death had been defeated. That obviously made the imperial authorities nervous because they knew down deep that the imperial system was a network of deathliness that trusted in idols and that crushed people in the eager race to monopoly of power, money, and control. Only those at the top of the pyramid were the ones who had most and enjoyed a happy time of it at the expense of the vulnerable and exploited....
